The creative team of Kamijima Collective thrives upon curiosity and courage, to find paths through the islands forest which have been hidden so far.
Our goal: not only connect creative spirits on our isles, also to bind through international ideas of global artists, that bring new flavors and life into Kamijimas daily life. We want to create a platform where you as an artist are able to portrait you and your work, yet simultaniously connect to the people/community around you during your stay here.
What kind of residency are we?

We provide accomodation and facilities to artists who bridge with our values of sustainability, community and curiosity.
During the year 2025 we’re slowly developing an infrastructure and network of people who can provide a solid foundation for creative exchange. Following this process, we’re (re)building sustainable houses and try to use them as creative spaces to expand our hospitality. This year will be all about rebuilt, collabs, ways of viable building and stringing foreign ideas together with japanese ones whilst trying to preserve the cultural knowledge of the area.
